Discover the many benefits

A membership with Eindhoven Library gives you access to a large and current collection of books, magazines and newspapers. And there are various other facilities and resources which you can use, and regular activities you can take part in, such as workshops, and courses.

Free child membership

Anyone under the age of 18 can become a library member for free.

Memberships, fees and charges

Do you use the library regularly, but only borrow now and then? Then our Budget membership is the best choice for you.

Borrow 6 items per year: 4 weeks

Reservations: €1,10 per title*

Delivery service: €3,20 per item

Borrow an unlimited number of items: 8 weeks
Free loan of an e-reader: 8 weeks

Delivery service: first 6 items free of charge, thereafter € 3,20 per item.

15% general discount at the Library Café.

A membership with Eindhoven Library is for the period of one year.
After this year the membership can be terminated monthly.

Children’s and youth membership

Membership from 0 - 18 (het jeugdabonnement)

Anyone under the age of 18 can become a library member for free.
A children’s and youth membership allows you to borrow an unlimited number of items per year.
The loan period is four weeks.
Children up to 13 years old borrow 10 items (max) at a time.
When you are 13 up to 18 year olds you can borrow 15 items (max) at a time.

Reserve

You can reserve items via our catalogue. We’ll send you a message when they’re ready for you to collect.
When you reserve items at:

Eindhoven Library; your items will be ready for you straight away.
one of the other pick-up locations; your items will be available for collection after 5 days.

Your reserved items will remain available for collection for 10 days. If your pick-up location is closed during the school holidays, you can collect your order at Eindhoven Library.

You cannot make reservations if you have a negative balance on your library card.

Please contact us via email (link below) or call us on 040 260 42 60. We are available from: Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 to 17:00, Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00, and Sundays from 13:00 to 17:00.
